Dōbutsu no Mori (translated as Animal Forest) is a game for the Nintendo 64, and is the first game in the Animal Crossing series.

NPCs:


Mr.ResettiMr. Resetti: Mr. Resetti is the only mole in Animal Forest. He appears if you turn off your game without saving or if you reset, hence the name "Mr. RESETti". He will scold you for resetting and tell you to not reset again.
Tom NookTom Nook: Tom Nook is the only tanooki in Animal Forest. He has a shop where he sells goods such as clothes, furniture, tools, etc. At the starting of the game you buy a house for him, which you need to repay for him during the game. His shop can be upgraded if you repay your loans.
